announcements from the Bharatiya Temple of Lansing.
1) First Sunday Puja on Sunday April 4 at 11:30 AM:
Please join the First
Sunday Puja on April 4. It will be hosted by Amit and Rita Ghose and family. The puja
will start at 11:30 AM, followed by lunch at 1 PM. Highlight: Bhajans by Kishalay Chakrabarti
from Midland, MI.
2) Monthly 2nd Sunday
Birthday/Anniversary/Special Events Havan at 11 AM on
Sunday April 11:

The birthday/anniversary/special events havan
in April will be on Sunday April 11 at 11 AM.
It will be dedicated to Shri
Saraswati. You can have the havan performed in the name of the person whose birthday or
anniversary or special event falls in April for $51 per event. Your donation of
$51 is tax deductible.
3) Seminar on Ayurveda
and Holistic Health on April 24, 9 AM to 3 PM:

The Seminar will be conducted by Dr. Dilip Inamdar, a very well known physician and a pioneer in the field of Ayurvedic treatments for obesity, weight management, diet
and nutrition, and human health. If any devotee would like a
private consultation with the doctor, that can be arranged separately on an
individual basis.
4) Position Open: Part Time
Manager for the Temple:
Our Temple has an opening
for the post of a part time manager. It will
be a paid position with salary negotiable based on experience ranging from 13-15 dollars an hour. It will involve about 10-12 hours of work a week. Must be available Wednesday mornings 9-12 and Wednesday
evenings 6-8 pm. Other hours negotiable and based on need. Work will
also involve getting repairs, talking to vendors, making phone calls as
necessary, and helping with the day-to-day functioning of the temple and
organizing and coordinating special events. Retired people with management
experience welcome and desirable. Please contact Ashim

5) Volunteers
needed for the month of April:
For the month of April, until the Part Time Manager position (item 4 above) is
filled, we are looking for volunteer(s) to keep the temple open on Wednesdays from 10 to 11 AM and on other days when Shastriji goes to perform Pujas
outside. If you are available, please reply to this
message.
6) Maha Kumbhabhishekam Update: Request for articles for Souvenir:
Our Temple’s Maha Kumbhabhishekam will be
celebrated as a 5-day event from Wednesday June 9 to
Sunday June 13, 2010. The Kumbhabhishekam
website, http://lansingtemple.org/kumbhabhishekam/,
will be periodically updated as details are finalized.
We are planning to bring out a nice Souvenir on this occasion. We request your
