Dear Devotees,

Our Temple's Maha Kumbhabhishekam celebration, scheduled for June 9-13, is fast approaching. All the event committees ( http://lansingtemple.org/kumbhabhishekam/committees.pdf), consisting of dedicated volunteers from our community, are busy with the final stages of preparation for this great event. Five priests have been engaged to conduct the five-day ceremony, a detailed program has been drawn up, various community groups are busy rehearsing the cultural programs they will present, caterers have been found for the meals that will be served, a variety of options for devotees to sponsor the event has been developed, and work is underway on a Souvenir and a Lansing-area community directory.

All the details are posted at the Temple's Kumbhabhishekam website,
http://lansingtemple.org/kumbhabhishekam/ . We draw your attention in particular to:
the 5-day program,
http://lansingtemple.org/kumbhabhishekam/program.pdf , and
the registration package list,
http://lansingtemple.org/kumbhabhishekam/registration%20package%20list.pdf .

Please note that there was an error in registration package list that was mailed to devotees earlier this month. By mistake, the benefit packages for Silver and Bronze sponsors were listed to be the same. This has been corrected in the posted list, and we apologize for the error.

The registration package list gives you several options to support the Kumbhabhishekam. We seek your generous support for the ceremony. Also, we request you to purchase the registration package of your choice AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE, preferably by June 7, so that we can have a good count of the meals, etc. that will be needed.

The power and sanctity of our Temple depends both on the daily rituals and on periodic ceremonies like the Maha Kumbhabhishekam, generally performed after every twelve years. It is a sacred ritual meant to purify the temple and reenergize the Deities. Let us all come together to celebrate this noble ceremony.

May God bless our temple and individuals everywhere.

Sincerely,

Bharatiya Temple of Lansing
